We are planning a late trip to Thailand over xmas this year and are having trouble choosing where to go. We would like somewhere like Krabi or Koh samui but as have been there before.
Our agent has suggested Trang or Hau Hin, we quite like the look of Khao Lak. We both like to explore a bit and eat out so we don%26#39;t want to be stuck miles from anywhere. Has anyone got any good ideas of places / hotels? Thanks!

What about Ko Phi Phi island ? Maybe a bit touristy but similar to Krabi, even much better..

Khao Lak would have good weather at that time of year, another place you could consider is Ko Chang (not sure about weather for December).

Ko Chang weather in December is very good, it%26#39;s high season there. There are less tourists, less nightlife, it%26#39;s more peaceful but beaches are better in Andaman (Krabi, phi Phi..) I had great a time in both areas, can recommend both.
