Has anyone any idea about these apartments at Bang Tao beach. Any information would help.

Baan Chai Nam is on the far south end of Bang Tao Beach. A very nice apartment building with a great front lawn and pool. Many, but not all of the apartments will have a nice view of the sea.

The beach right in front of the buildings is not great for swimming, but is quite scenic as it is in the area where the fishermen moor their longtail boats. About 100-200 meters to the north will be a good swimming area. Several good restaurants in the immediate area - and Surin Beach is an easy 12-15 minute walk away.

including a slide show of the 20+ restaurants right on the sand up and down Bang Tao Beach. Surin Beach has many restaurants also - so plenty of great places to eat.

Thanks for that, we are after some good quality(luxury) accommodation for our two weeks in March and can see from the forum that you seem to have a very good idea about all of the places to stay. So in your opinion who has the better grade of accommodation Club Lersuang or Baan Chai Nam. Or any others that you may be aware of.

Baan Chai Nam is right on the beach - Club Lersuang is about 400 meters to the beach - but they are both roughly in the same area.

Club Lersuang has a bigger pool, a fitness club (with quite decent equipment), a restaurant/bar and Internet. BCN, is quite nice, but doesn%26#39;t have much in amenities except the pool.

Both are an easy walk to good places to eat. BCN is closer to Surin Beach - maybe only four minutes closer though.

Grade of accommodation - I would tend to think BCN, but they (as is CL) are all individually owned apartments so quality is likely to be a bit inconsistent - as would be CL, BUT CL is much newer - so the quality of furnishings and buildings is likely to be more consistently good.

If you go with CL, try not to be on the far north end of the complex where most apartments will open onto the children%26#39;s pool and play area . . . unless, of course, you enjoy the noise.

For amenities, Club Lersuang - for right-on-the-beach - BCN.
