Hi I%26#39;d like to stay in Phuket however I am not really a fan of tons of nightlife, and I%26#39;m really just staying in Phuket to tour the Phang Nga Bay and the Similan Islands. Any recommendations for a nice area to stay in or around Phuket?

Town and Accommodation recommendations?This depends a LOT on your budget and, of course, personal preferences.
If you think you might spend as much time at the Similans as the Phang Nga area you might consider Khao Lak as well as Phuket. It is a quieter, and some people think, more beautiful coastal area.
Nice areas - away from the nightlife areas - wold include the Kamala, Surin and Bang Tao areas - lots of info on specifically that area at:

You might also look at NaiThon and Nai Yan Beaches - or even off the island up on NaTai Beach (actually closer to the airport than much of Phuket). More on that area at:

Departures to the Similans are often/usually from the Tap Lamu pier which is just a bit south of Khao Lak, a beautiful area - that is less expensive than Phuket and has quite a special charm of its own (its where many of us who live on Phuket go on vacation!). More on the Khao Lak area is at:
