Khao Lak weather - end Sept / early Oct??

We are looking to spend our honeymoon at The Sarojin in Khao Lak %26amp; have found ourselves a really good deal, just a little worried about the weather situation. As i understand it the rainy season for the Western Coast of Southern Thailand is June to October. We are planning to spend 10 nights there from 26th September - is the rain short, heavy downpours in between sunshine or are we looking at spending our honeymoon indoors???

We%26#39;ve both never been to Thailand before %26amp; have set our hearts on The Sarojin - would hate to have to rule it out because of the weather

Also - Pool Residence or Garden residence?? There%26#39;s £200 difference, is it worth it??

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Khao Lak weather - end Sept / early Oct??

I have given weather comments on the other post. For the rooms, the garden and pools inside are the same. The pool however is a lovely aspect for relaxing in and by. The sala next to it is covered and if rain you can still be outdoors. Personally, having stayed at The Sarojin, I would take the pool, the landscape gave certain privacu when I was there and I am sure in a few months will have developed even further. Whilst staying the resort added doors to the pool room garden entrance to give even more privacy and a villa feel.

Weather is an issue - September and October are two of the three rainiest months here. But, personally, I love that time of year - the weather is cooler and the tropical green of the area is just beautiful!

You will most likely get some good sun too. Khao Lak%26#39;s weather is lot like Phuket%26#39;s (being just up the road a bit) - so check out this weather page for some comfort and also the ';When to come'; page:

The hotel is offering a like for like deal until the end of October...pay for 3 nights get 3 free etc. So, we%26#39;re staying for 10 nights and paying for 5. Surely no-one can better that?????

I have just found your posting, i%26#39;m thinking about staying in The Sarojin in Khao Lak end of September/beginning of October this year. I see you went last year for your honeymoon, would you reccomend it? Did you have a lot of rain?
