Privet day trip from Phuket to Phi Phi Island

Hi guys,

I will go to Phuket on this coming August.

I鈥檇 like to go to Phi Phi in a day trip.

However I want to go on privet trip but it will be very expensive to get privet boat from Phuket to Phi Phi Island, my only option is to get the ferry.

1-Does anyone know any idea about the ferry from Phuket to phi Phi Island?

2-At Tonsai bay in phi phi Island I can rent a long tail boat to explore the island and snorkeling. Any idea about the price and any recommendations.

Thanks,

Yoyo

Hello Yoyo.

I am not well placed to answer your question, but I will tell you what I can. I tend to go in the other direction from Phi Phi, into Phang Nga Bay where the scenery is better, and the seas calmer.

Please bear in mind that travelling to Phi Phi in August can be uncomfortable if the water is rough. The ferry is a much better option. Also, you can delay booking your trip until you can see what the weather is like.

I understand that there are plenty of longtails in Phi Phi for hire. Check for life jackets.

If you do a search here on snorkelling Phi Phi you may find more info.

Good luck,

Mark.

Hi Yoyo, we%26#39;re taking a ferry from our hotel in Phuket to Phi Phi on the 17th Aug. My schedule says that the transfer pickup is 8.30am, but I think that%26#39;s when the ferry leaves (I think), so it%26#39;ll be an earlier pickup.

We took a speed boat over to Phi Phi last years for the day ( we only had a day in phuket - on a cruise) and it was fabulous but I don%26#39;t know that i%26#39;d like to take it if the seas are rough. I%26#39;d take Capt Marks advice and wait to see what the weathers like before booking it.

Hope this helps.

Kerri
