Hi, we%26#39;ll be checking in at a hotel along Silom road in the evening next Wednesday. Would there be anywhere nearby that would still be open for shopping (clothings) after dinner time? We wouldn%26#39;t mind a short cab ride either. Thanks in advance!

Night shopping near Silom?
You will be able to visit the markets along Silom Road and at Pat Pong. Most of the Vendors along the Silom Road (who are cheaper than in the main Patpong area) do not start setting up until around 9pm so it doesnt pay to go early anyway.
You could also visit Suan Lum (take the subway from Silom Road to Lumphini station and it has direct access), I%26#39;m assuming its still open.
Many department stores stay open until 10pm and MBK opens until 10pm however many vendors pack up by 9pm.
The markets are your best bet as they are open until very late.
Night shopping near Silom?
patpong is probably your best bet, although it has been said to be overly priced lately.
There%26#39;s silom village near Narai Hotel. but I think it%26#39;s expensive there.
Thanks for your replies!
How far is Silom and Patpong from Pathumwan Princess Hotel?
Its a quick ride on the skytrain(5-10 minutes), if you get off at Sala Daeng Station you will see the stalls along the Silom Road as you walk down the stairs to the road. The stalls on the road lead up to Patpong which is the main market area (Silom road away from Patpong tends to be cheaper though). Not much point going before 9pm as thats when it starts to get going.
