Weddings at Mom Tri's?

My fianc茅 and I want to get married in Thailand and are very interested in Mom Tri%26#39;s Villa Royale. We had planned to get married at Layana, having stayed there last year but they%26#39;ve recently changed their policy and are now limiting weddings to 24 guests. We will probably have between 40-50 people and the Mom Tri%26#39;s website says that they%26#39;ll cater for weddings up to 70 people, so hopefully they%26#39;ll accept us! Just wondered if anyone has got married there/seen a wedding while they%26#39;ve been there, as interested to know what it%26#39;s like? We%26#39;re planning on doing it in July 2008, but don%26#39;t think we%26#39;ll have time to go over and check the place out between now and then, so any info would be greatly appreciated! Quite a scary thought having the %26#39;happiest day of your life%26#39; somewhere you%26#39;ve never been before!!

I have been to quite a few weddings at Mom Tris Villa Royale and I can assure you that they have been some of the best I have been to in my life. Apart from the stunning settings the staff go out of there way to make it a wonderful day.

Thanks very much for your response. We got some information through from the hotel yesterday and am 99% sure we%26#39;re going to do it there now. Have fallen in love with the place! We definitely want to do it out of peak season but are keen to try and escape the rain if possible (that%26#39;s why we%26#39;re not getting married in England!!) - am I right in thinking June/July/Aug are the best of the off peak months weather wise?

It is very difficult to say how the weather will be. For example this last week the days have been hot and sunny in Kata (showers in the evenings) and the sea has been flat as a pancake over the last couple of days. Just like in high season. Great for the divers - not for the surfers.

BTW the only other wedding that topped the one%26#39;s I have been to at Mom Tri%26#39;s was for an English couple who flew out their entire family to Cape Town. The ceremony was conducted on top of Table Mountain with the reception at a Cape Dutch style wine estate in Constantia.

To answer your question if I was coming to Phuket for a holiday I would certainly come during June to August.

Mom Tri%26#39;s is excellent. Casn%26#39;t go wrong. We married on beach and had reception at Boathouse restaurant. Amazing! Don%26#39;t go anywhere else!
