advice for weekend buffets/champagne lunch

Hi, would appreciate the advice of those in the know of good places that serve weekend buffets or champagne lunch. Would appreciate app cost involved and if the location of these places are near the skytrain stations as we will be relying on them for our main form of transportation.

Are reservations necessary?

Thanks so much.

Sunday brunch is an institution here in Bangkok and there are a plethora of hotels to choose from depending on your budget. my top 3 for low, medium and high prices are

Holiday Inn, Bangkok 790B

Shangri-La, 1250B

Grand Hyatt Erawan, 2500B

Holiday Inn and Grand Hyatt are on the skytrain route. Shangri-La is located by the river, best to get a taxi.

Reservations are worthwhile at the more expensive locations. At the top end, I would add the JW Marriott and Sukhothai.

If you fancy something different, the Rang Mahal, a superb Indian restaurant at the top of the Rembrandt Hotel, offers a Sunday brunch with live Indian music. Of course, it is Indian.
