Khao Lak Land Discovery

Hi Guys,

We woud like to book a day trip to visit Khao Sok National park and quite like the look of the one advertised with this company.

When we travelled to Thailand last year we found it far cheaper to book our trips on arrival rather than before hand.

Is that the case with this company also or could you recommend others?

Hi Sarah,

The prices advertised on the Khao Lak Land Discovery website were the same as in resort. We booke for the Similans while there. By booking when you arrive it gives you the chance to have a look at the various operators%26#39; offerings and prices but I found them all to be similar with no great ';special offers';.

Khao Sok National Park? No, not yet. We had a hire car intending to do it ourselves but ran out of time. Saved it for next time. A good friend of mine from Austria did it with Olaf Scomber of the Khao Lak Guide Company - see http://www.khaolakguide.de/khaolak1.htm

(speaks English so no problem) and he said it was a long but fabulous day out and worth every baht. I think it was the Khao Sok Dam Tour they took. The Dam is certainly where we want to visit. I would stay overnight in a raft house but ';she who must be obeyed'; has yet to be persuaded. LOL
