Shopping at Surin Beach

In Someones Just Back Report they sid they went shopping at Surin Beach, if anyone has any information with regards to shopping at Surin Beach it would be much appreciated.

Shopping at Surin Beach

There is ';shopping'; in Surin Beach - but it depends on what you are looking for.

There are two areas for shopping - one is the small main highway that goes through Surin from Kamala to Bang Tao. The other is the small road that goes in front of the TwinPalms, Surin Beach Resort, etc. on the way to Bang Tao Beach.

There are, as always in Thailand, a few tailors, mini-markets, art galleries - and a few upscale shops in the plaza where the Silk is located - AND there is a Private Collection shop at the foot of the road that leads up to the Chedi and Amanpuri.

Certainly enough to keep you busy for a full day, if not a couple half-days.

Surin Beach is not full of the pirated DVDs and hand bags that are common in Patong/Karon/Kata. though. Plenty of good restaurants.
