Phuket in October

I am planning to take my family (boys 7 %26amp; 10) to Phuket from the 10th to the 15th of October. I know this is off-season; can anybody advice me whether it is possible to do a reasonable amount of swimming, diving %26amp; other water sports at this time?

Phuket in October

we were there last october with 3 teenagers in tow and they did lots of swimming in the beach at patong as well as costing me a fortune doing all the water water sports offered on the beach...hope this helps

Phuket in October

Its the end of the wet so you can still get rough seas but there will always be a good time or spot for water sports, As Mix has said its a good time of the year and although its low season its also a great time to be in Phuket. Over night low temps are around the 26 c mark.

64 Days and counting till we go back to LOS.

Cheers, Pete.

Have been to phuket a couple of times in October and thought the weather was fine. It may not be everyones experiences but found that if it was going to rain, it was late afternoon. Say 5-6 oclock? Find yourself an undercover bar to sit at and have a few quiet ones and enjoy the show. The beach was ok. Just make sure you check out the flags and swim where it is safe. The rips can be quite strong.

I think October is great - you pay low season prices, it isn%26#39;t too busy and the weather, though unpredictable, is usually reasonable. That is why we are heading over October again this year.

PS don%26#39;t know about the diving situation. Maybe a couple of the locals can help you with that?

With regards to diving we dive all year round. All the Dive Centers on Phuket offer the daily diving and snorkelling trips.

Have a great holiday!
