Bangkok Airways-special meals

This came as a surprise when I was trying to book a special meal for myself due to food allergy. The airline weren%26#39;t able to confirm a special meal for me, they can only put in as a request. This means I may or may not get the special meal despite their website stating that I order 72 hrs prior to departure.

I do not understand how can an airline behave this way? And their air ticket prices are not even cheap. Perhaps due to the monoplization of the Koh samui air route?

That%26#39;s how it is with every airline...special meals are a request, not guaranteed. I%26#39;ve never had them not come through, though.

My special meals are always confirmed when I fly with SIA. I didn%26#39;t know it was common practice that it is put in as special request by other airlines.

It is such a short flight I wouldn%26#39;t worry about it.

45 minutes and it%26#39;s all over.

Unless OP is flying in from Singapore, then it%26#39;s an hour longer i think. Still a relatively short flight.

If you book early enough, it should not be a problem. Specially when flying out of S%26#39;pore. Bangkok Air has the monopoly into Samui, and even though expensive, they usually ar every helpful and accommodating. If you face any problems, just let me know.

I will flying from Singapore to samui so it%26#39;s about 1hr 40mins. Yeah, it%26#39;s a short flight but having to spend so much for a short flight, one would expect certain level of service. But anyway, i am just being silly to complain about it... sorry folks!
