Hi all, have just joined the forum, have been studying it for weeks now,have gotsome great info.My husband %26amp; I%26amp;daughter (13) will be going to patong beach 19th sept,havebeen to bali 5 times,this will be our first in thailand.Staying at the Deevana resort %26amp;spa,which was booked before i started looking at the forums,it seems to have mixed reviews,but we will soon find out first hand.will be going to the friday bbq,sea canoeing,and will be hiring scooters to tour the countryside,can%26#39;t wait!!! emupark

Welcome to the forum - another addict on the way - lucky you have only got till 19th September until you go.

The Deevana is quite nice - our friends stayed there in April. Just make sure that you have a room in the new wing - the old wing is a bit tired. It%26#39;s just near all the shops etc. with about a 10 minute walk to the beach. We arrive on 3/10 and will be at the bbq on the 5th.

we are going in october i have heard you have to book for the friday night bbq is this correct and if so where do you book

Jan, Heres the link for all the info on the BBQ along with the menu, photos and comments from other members, it also tells you how to book etc. Best to get in early as seats are limited
