The kids loved going to 7/11 in Thailand and buying Slurpee’s for 20thb $0.70!!

In Phuket we had breakfast at small restaurants and generally had American breakfasts. These ranged in price from 80thb to 120thb and were very filling.

I hope these prices can give you a bit of an idea for those of you lucky enough to be going soon.

As a mother I love the chore of deciding where to eat each day when we are away. It is so much better than the usual “mum, what’s for tea?’ and having to get dinner each night at home.

Another thing that I enjoyed as a mother while we were away was doing the washing.

We would bundle our dirties and take them to a laundry. For 50thb/kg you can’t go wrong!

In Krabi it was even cheaper 35thb/kg!!

Hope you enjoyed this read, I enjoyed living it

Hi Jill,

Great information with regards to food , prices and the restaurants.

Cheers,

I see you enjoy liquid meals as well - excellent!!

Hi Jill excellent report for anyone trying to work out a spending budget on food this gives them all the info they could want. Thanks for taking the time to do it. Bez

Gee Stewie, that%26#39;s a hard question.

No 6 was good, and very cheap.

Banana Leaf was good too. And people on another table had yummy looking crayfish dishes for those into seafood.

Shakers food was very nice too, but not as cheap overall, but still cheap by Aussie standards.

We also went to Nicky%26#39;s Handlebar up the north end of Ratuthit Rd. Great restaurant %26amp; food. Average prices from memory.

And another one I just thought of was Sweets. Had heard a lot about this one but we were disappointed. Food was nice. Average price. But we went there after shopping late. Finally got a table about 8.30pm and food, entres included, did not arrive until well after 9.30pm, by which time we couldn%26#39;t be bothered. Obviously best to get there a lot earlier.

I%26#39;m sure there are lots of others I can%26#39;t even think of ot the moment, but I hope this has given a little insight!

Jill

Hi Jill,

Thanks for your reply, We would like to try Nick%26#39;s Handlebars as it;s not far from where we stay at the Andaman Beach Suites, also Cathy has also reccomended this place.

Cheers,

Stewie.

Hi, I chose this place as it came recommended by Cathy and it was close to Swiss Palm Beach.

Thought the boys would like it, which, of course, they did.

Lots of motorbike paraphernalia inside and out of this place, not to mention %26#39;hot%26#39; cars and %26#39;speccy %26#39;motorbikes.

I am sure I was informed of every single one of them, and how it was different from any other!

Even the menus were in the spokes of a wheel. Rather heavy, but very original!

You can check out their website if you wish

www.nickyshandlebar.com

There is plenty of info and photos on it.

Jill

Thank you for the info!

I am going there in three weeks and cant wait, especially now after knowing for certain how cheap the place is ;-)

Wow Jill thats a great list and will be so helpful to people planning budgets etc.

Cathy
