I am travelling overland from Trat? to Siem Reap in about 3 weeks after staying on Koh Chang. Would appreciate any feedback from anyone who has done this recently as I can%26#39;t find any bus timetables, prices etc on the net. Also is it advisable to get my visa in Bangkok as I have read that it is timeconsuming and expensive to do it at the border crossing?.

the reason that you can%26#39;t find any info is that nobody gpoes that way to Siem reap. however if you do go from trat the nearest border crossing is at Aranyaphratet. cross here, go to Sisophon. but be warned the roads are terrible (in cambodia), buses are dangerous and i would estimate it will take you at least 2 days to get there.
