3 days in Bangkok or 5 days in Bangkok or?

We%26#39;re starting our trip in Bangkok. We can%26#39;t decide if we should stay there 3 days, 5 days, or what would you suggest? We%26#39;ll be in Thailand a total of 31 days.

3 days in Bangkok or 5 days in Bangkok or?

A lot of people dislike their time in Bangkok because it is rushed. I would recommend 5 days, you can do the city as well as having a day trip out of BKK incorporated. But then again, we travelled with younger kids so we couldn%26#39;t really rush anything with them otherwise they will be unbearable. We spent a total of 21 days in Thailand and loved it.

I suggest 5 days if it%26#39;s your first time in Bangkok. 3 days in the beginning of your trip and the rest at the end (if you depart from Bangkok). First 3 days you can explore the city and at the end you can use the rest of days for shopping.

I hear so many people say 3 days in Bangkok is enough - I disagree. There is so much to do both in the city itself and just beyond. We enjoyed a day trip to Brdige over the River Kwai and the Tiger Temple from our Bangkok base. We also looked at the grand palace, markets and other buddhas and places of interest. As we only had 4 days we didn%26#39;t get the chance to get to the ancient city, the floating markets or the kungs. Take 5 days - there is plenty to do beyond shopping!

We spent 40 days in Thailand as far north as the Golden Triangle and Laos and also spent time in Phuket and Koh Samui. All of it was great and the more that we did by ourselves the more fun it was.

We were travelling with 2 children aged 10 and 14 and nothing was a problem. The best accommodation was our beautiful bungalow on the beach at Koh Samui - the Napasai Samui - 20 steps to your own private beach, amazing service and hsopitaility, gorgeous inifintiy pool, and great food. While a little expensive it was only a few hunderd more (per week) than the more crowded and less classy resorts on Chaewang Beach.

When we were in Phuket we wisely chose to charter our own boat and captain for the day. Yes, it was expensive, but we had personalised service and the captain took us wherever we wanted to go - if we had gone on a tour we would have been with 20 other people going to the same place dozens of other boats. Some of the beaches and waters that these tours take you to get very crowded because of this. Our guide was able to take us to places without masses of people.

The day included all food and drinks as well as an English-speaking snorkelling guide, all snorkelling gear and towels, and transfers and worked out costing us $150 pp. I think that%26#39;s a bargain for what we got!

Hello :

You can easily spend a 5 days in Bangkok without a single

moment in boring. This is a huge mega city and many points

of interest . I can only see Bangkok is a unique City of the world

that can have evrerything for all people single, married, family

and evrerything in between. Myself spending all my holidays time

and vacations here still Not enough and of course, Bangkok

is built for a lone traveller.

Enjoy your trip,

Tough call - for the past 2 years we have doen a twin centre trip to bangkok then koh samui. Our travel agent says 3 days is enough so thats the longest we have stayed each time - there is so much to do in bangkok - you couldnt possibly see it all in 5 days let alone 3! We love bangkok and would go there every yea if we could however we found that after 3 days we do look forward to going to koh samui as i prefer more relaxed, peaceful environments by the sea as bangkok can be a little hectic.

Bangkok is an amazing vibrant city with tonnes to do and see so if this is the only chance you will ever be in bangkok i would recommend the full 5 days and see as much as you can!
