Shopping in Bangkok

Hi,

I need some advise on where to find good and cheap shopping in bangkok. Common place I know is Mah Boon Krong...where else? looking at mainly ladies clothings, bags and shoes....

Also, can recommend which is the better hotel to stay in to be most accessible to these shopping places? My preference would be not the budget hotels eg. asia hotel, probably 4 or 5 star ones.

Shopping in Bangkok

MBK shopping centre - for this, stay in Siam area or anywhere close to skytrain

Khao San road - for fake brand clothes, watches, silver etc...worth visiting, same things as on PatPong but cheaper - for this, find hotels in ';Khao San area';

ChatuChak market - huge traditional market, many locals, you can find there anything, crafts, clothes etc, everything very cheap

Shopping in Bangkok

For cloths and accessories , a must go place is Siam Square. All my girlfriends go wild there.

just opposite mbk is siam square with lots of lovely litle shops and shopping malls. I bought some really nice shoes from there at a reasonable price.

Platinum Mall (Close to Central world,near Pratunam)- if you looking for cloth.As far I heard it came from Hongkong or china.It%26#39;s very bargain price,if you buy three items in the same shop you get the wholesale price which is very cheap.

If you looking for hip and chic clothes Siam Square is the right place.

Dont forget to take a look at shoes shop around MBK and SIAM.There are many shop sell shoe for one price 199bht.

If you want to stay right in the middle of shopping area itself ,Novotel siam Square is in the middle.

Centre Point, Wireless road is next to Chitlon BTS which you can take 5 min to Siam Square.

Chatuchak weekend market is also a-must-go if you come shopping in Bangkok.
