Cooking Classes?

HI We were in Patong last year and did a cooking class at pums which is on the road where jungceylon shopping centre and otop markets are.. It is a small restuarant on a corner . The food was fantastic and the lady gave you a recipe book to take home with all the ingredients translated to what to buy in oz. Cant remember how much it cost but it wasn%26#39;t expensive and you could pretty much choose what you wanted to make. We did green chicken curry and the most delicious coconut soup and another soup (i think). She wrote down all ingredients to do green curry paste from scratch so was really helpful. Hope this is helpful for you

Cooking Classes?

I%26#39;ve done 2 courses at Pat%26#39;s cookery class in Phuket Town - morning class plus lunch for B1500 or thereabouts. It%26#39;s really excellent (trust me, I%26#39;m a food writer) - very authentic, but easy to recreate at home. She does 5 dishes per course, eg spring rolls, chicken and herb soup, pad thai noodles, pork or chicken salad and mango with sticky rice. Highly recommended. Some of the hotel courses are more touristy, so not sure how good they are. You can search this forum for Pat%26#39;s details and send her an email if you want to book. Good luck!

tap in ';cooking classes '; into the search facility

i did but this antiquated board has so many, that it cant handle the url

Thanks for that i will have a look at those two, and yes andy i did the search but dont have time at the moment to sit and look through them all, thought i could get a couple of quick responses !!

Rygirl - Mom Tris Boathouse cookery classes are great. Only thing is that they are conducted on Sat and Sun mornings only.

Hope this helps.

Chantal

Hi all,

There are many places to do Thai Cooking classes in Phuket and most of the hotels do them for a small cost. Be careful though as although i am a pretend cook i showed the Thai chef at the Horizon beach hotel a thing or two and he was trying to copy my style. (not quite that bad but not to far from the truth)

Try plumb cooking class it is supposed to be very popular, Goggle the site.

Also Mom Tri%26#39;s Boat house is also supposed to be very good http://www.momtrisboathouse.com/

Cheers Pete.
