travel from Bangkok to KC

Can anybody tell me what the best way is to travel from Bangkok to KC?

We will arrive in Bangkok coming monday morning around 10:00. We will have missed the moring flight, but travelling with 2 small children who will be nackered from the fight already I am not looking forward to waiting for the evening flight.

How long will a bus take?

Is it a bit comfortable?

Are there other options?

Thanks in advance.

The 9908 bus runs from the airport to Trat - here is the timetable

http://www.transport.co.th/Eng/CENTER1.htm. 4 hrs is the published time, but allow 5.

I think the 99 Laem Ngop bus is calling at the airport too now, but the 2 departures are too early for you. The advantage of the 99 is it goes to the pier, not to Trat.

The other option is private minibus which will take you all the way to your resort on KC for 5,000 baht (max). About 4.5 hrs to the pier. PM me if you%26#39;d like to make a reservation.

You can take the free shuttel bus to the Transportation Terminal at Suvanabhumi Airport and then take the 11:40 am bus to Trat. ( Timetable is currently departures at: 06:40,08:25,10:10,10:25,11:40,13:10,16:10 and 18:10.)

You%26#39;ll get to Trat around 4pm , so should be on the 5pm boat to KC and will get to your resort around 6.15 - 6.30pm depending on where you are staying.

The buses are fine, quite new, aircon %26amp; don%26#39;t often break down. Price around 250 baht person to Trat.

Other options - Take a taxi. Depending on your haggling skills you can get a taxi driver to take you from the airport to the mainland ferry pier for around 3000 - 3500 baht. You might need a map as the chances are the driver wont have been to the ferry pier before. You%26#39;ll be at the ferry pier by around 2.30pm

Private transfer - around 4500 - 5000 baht. Arrange a transfer in advance, get met at the airport and taken all the way to your hotel on KC. popular option for people who want to get to KC without the cost of flying or hassle of taking the bus. You%26#39;ll be at your hotel on KC by around 4pm
