irons in room

Hi,

Sorry for delay but my information from someone who stayed in the BKL last April is that they didn%26#39;t have an iron or board in their room or see one anywhere else. They used the local laundry - which is dirt cheap (if you will pardon the expression!)

Regards

Alan

Thanks Alan.

Hope I don%26#39;t have withdrawal symptons........no ironing for nearly 3 weeks(sigh),and if I play my cards right I%26#39;ll have my laundry done before I come home as well.

Ironing is a standing joke in our house.I only do it once a week, and then only because someone has to,not so bad now Des has retired,NO MORE SHIRTS.

The laundry charges in KL are incredibly cheap and very good. Wish they were same over here. It would save me a lot of work putting up the ironing board, taking it down. A man%26#39;s work is never done! LOL

Ironing? Are you nuts?? :) I thought you were on vacation! Haha! Actually, Arandora is correct, you can get your laundry done so cheaply its ridiculous. Don%26#39;t do it yourself. If its too expensive to let someone else do, then leave it home. And if you are dead set on ironing, you can buy one at the local LG Applicance Store in Bang Niang. :) Then donate it to the resort for others to use after you leave.

Hi Johnny

I don%26#39;t think I%26#39;ll be doing any ironing. My reasoning was,if something was creased I could have it ironed by the time it took to get to a laundry.I%26#39;ve now decided if it creases leave it at home.We can%26#39;t wait to get to Khao Lak.We%26#39;re staying at the Baan KhaoLak Resort in a beach front villa for 7 nights in January, thought we%26#39;d splash out a bit on this one.

Hi Alan

We took the advice you gave us........to visit Khao Lak.........when we were first researching our trip. Our itinerary is 4 night Pathumwan Princess Bangkok,4 night Chiang Mai,hotel still to be decided,7 nights Khao Lak and final 2 nights in Bangkok PP.

You won%26#39;t need an iron - take your creased clothes that you want, hang over the balcony, and the creases will be out in minutes. Also the laundry service is excellent, wish it was like that in the UK, we took ours the one night, collected the next morning and it cost pennies.

Have a rest from the ironing!!

Thanks J%26amp; D

A rest from the ironing is what I%26#39;ll have.
