Khaosan Road to Nana Plaza

Get a METER taxi - only pay the meter fare (cheaper than bargaining!)

Tuk-tuks will cost more than the air/con meter taxi, by the way.

If you like the Sukhumvit area why not check out some of the cheap hotels located on Sukhumvit Road. Unlike KSR, Sukhumvit Road has easy access to the Skytrain.

Taxi definetly, but DO not, i repeat DO NOT attempt to travel there between 5 - 7 p.m.

As already said, taxis are the easy option, but getting across the centre of town can be a nuisance.

Three other options;

1. Walk 10 minutes to the end of the San Saeb ferry boat route at the far end of Ratcha Damnoen Klang Road. Get off at Na Na Nua Bridge Pier, then another ten minute walk up Sukhumvit Soi 3 to Nana Plaza.

The ferry finishes about 7pm, so that will get you across town in the rush hour painlessly. You can get back easily by taxi at midnight or whenever. Ferry boat cost is about 16 Baht. You change boat at Pratunam.

2. Get a taxi or tuk-tuk to Hua Lumphong railway station and take the MRT underground train to Sukhumvit. This is directly next to Soi Cowboy, and a 10 minute walk to Nana plaza.

3. Get a taxi or tuk-tuk to Nation Stadium BTS station and go to Nana.

Taxis across town are a pain any time before 11pm so public transport that avoids the roads is worth it.
