Phuket Favourites….

After reading all the JBR’s and other forum info, I thought it might be an idea to get a list of people’s favourites. Favourite things to see and do whilst in Phuket. You don’t have to give an answer for them all, just the ones you feel you can give a bit of feedback for.

1. Favourite Hotel (or other places to stay)

2. Favourite place to eat (Include address or general location if possible)

3. Favourite Bar(s) (Include address or general location if possible)

4. Favourite Tours (Include info on how to/where to book)

5. Favourite Shopping Mall/Store/Market (Include address or general location if possible)

6. Favourite Tour Guide/Driver (Include contact details if possible)

7. Favourite Beach

8. Favourite Masseuse/Day Spa/Relaxation activity (Include contact details address or general location if possible)

9. Favourite Phuket “Must Do” (The one thing you must do when in Phuket)

10. Favourite reason that keeps you coming back to Phuket

Hi Francis - Welcome to TA. Sounds like a good idea but in your question #10 you refer to coming back to Phuket. Does this mean that you live here and are doing a survey? If so then I think that it would be a good idea for you to start by giving TA members your recommendations first.

I see that this is your first post - so new input is always very refreshing.

probably should have worded my questionare a little differently. number 10 should read ';what keeps you going back to Phuket'; as i%26#39;ve never been to Phuket myself

Definitely not conducting a survey. No ulterior motives... No corporate ones anyway :) Just another TA newby looking into planning a trip to Phuket. Looking at travelling in about 4-8 weeks time.

Some great reads on the fourm. very very informative. have picked up a load of ideas already. making me more determined to visit phuket.

You should definitely come then Francis.

Ok I will start, but I warn you my tastes are a tad expensive:

1) Mom Tris Villa Royale (between Kata and Kata noi beaches). Otherwise the Twin Palm Resort in Surin.

2) Siam Indigo (Phuket Town)

3) Ska Bar (under the big tree directly on Kata Beach)

4) Liveaboard Cruise (diving or non diving) on The Junk - the June Hong Chian Lee

5) Central Festival (en route to the airport)

6) Khun On - she drives slowly and carefully. You can PM me for her number.

7) Kata Beach - but then I am biased :))

8) Cant remember the name but it is located close to the Horngrill in Kata

9) Again - The Junk (I am a confirmed Junkie)

10) Scuba Diving - thats why I never left.
