Travelling time between places - help!

Hi all,

I%26#39;m off to Thailand in 5 weeks for a month and pretty much know where i%26#39;m going for how long etc but not which order, i wondered if you could tell me how long its going to take me to get from place to place so i can work out the best route!

Kanchanaburi to Ko Phangan

Ko Tao to Khao Sok

Khao Sok to Kanchanburi

Khao Sok to Chiang Mai

Kanchanaburi to Chiang Mai

Would be so greatful for your experiences on moving between these places!

forgot to mention - when travelling from khao sok to kanchanaburi / chiang mai i cant afford the bangkokair fare (拢80) from Ko Samui to Bangkok so it would need to be overland...

ko samui to bkk overland is a very long journey,did it last xmas as all flights were fully booked.

took around 12 hours by coach and around 3 hours by ferry and the combo ticket was 600 baht.the coach had a/c toilet showed a couple of films and supplied blankets for when you want to sleep.coach will also stop off mid journey so u you can stretch your legs and get some food. not sure how long the train takes but would of thought it was roughly the same.

i think it only costs a couple thousand baht to fly from surat thani to bkk and would knock a very big chunk of time off your journey.
