Metered Taxis to/from Airport

Hi we arrive in Phuket on a Sunday morning circa 8am - just wanting to make sure we%26#39;d have no issues getting a metered taxi to Patong (Deevana)

Also - we need to get a taxi back the following Saturday and need to be at the airport at circa 6.30am - are we going to have issues getting a metered taxi that early in Patong?

Metered Taxis to/from Airport

I have arrived at Phuket Airport at that time (even a little bit earlier) and didn%26#39;t have any problem.

Just exit the airport front entrance, and the metered taxi service is to your RIGHT, about 50 metres walk. Prior to this, you will encounter plenty of touts (asking you if you want a taxi) but ignore these guys as they are private operators and will charge you a higher fare.

Going from Patong to Airport, it is harder to get a metered taxi. Maybe get the telephone number/card of the driver taking you from airport to Patong, and call/book with him the day before. There are certainly VERY VERY FEW metered taxis driving around Patong looking for fares, for certain specific reasons.

We caught a metered taxi as suggested here, the guy gave us his details/card for return journey if needed. We were lucky enough to have transport inc in our hotel deal for the last place we stayed so didn%26#39;t need it. Maybe you could pre arrange it with the taxi driver when you travel from airport to Patong, (I%26#39;d ring and double check the day before you are leaving). Not sure if people do this or not. Did you book Deevana direct with their website, I thought they inc transfers for more than 3 nights, but I could be wrong.
