Tiger temple in Kanchanaburi

Hi

Does anyone know if there any tour to Tiger Temple ?

I%26#39;m looking at a public tour group instead of private tour which is very expensive.

Thanks

Well you would have to look around when you arrive. I have decided to do it myself and it is not that hard(or expensive)

You can take the #257 train from Bangkok which leaves around 7:30 and gets you there before 11. Then you can go to Tiget Temple - you will have enough time as they only take tigers for a walk after lunch.

To return to Bangkok you have many options, best of them are busses which leave as late as 8pm.

Enjoy the trip ;-)

Be very careful of taking the train for a day trip.... although it says its only about 3 hours... transport in Thailand (specifically the trains) is very slow and always late.. Every report I have read about this specific train says that the journey takes at least 5 hours.... I would not try to do this on your own from Bangkok for a day trip. The Tiger Temple is a 40 min drive from Kanchanaburi and the Tigers are let out for public viewing early afternoon...

I would either book through your hotel/guesthouse, but if there is 2 or more people travelling you will pay just as much as a private tour guide....

If you want to do it yourself you would be best to catch a 6/7am bus from Bangkok... then maybe hire a driver to take you out to the TT from the bus station.... just know how much you are willing to pay for a return trip.. We paid 160 baht per person for a tour from our guesthouse in Kanchanaburi.

Reet x

Most of the local travel agents offer a tour there with maybe a couple of other things thrown in
