Novotel Airport Hotel BKK

Has anyone used the new Novotel airport hotel at the new BKK airport?

If so is there a covered walkway from the baggage claim area to the hotel ? If so was it easy to find that walkway and could you please give some info about that.

We are coming in on United airlines.

How did you find the rooms, service, food. How did you book your room- directly with the hotel website or thru another site?

The cheapest rates I have seen through Novotel themselves were much cheaper than elsewhere, http://www.asiaoz.com/deals.html and go to the Accor Hotels / Novotel click and they have about B 4,000 a night which is a lot less than I have seen elsewhere.

We stayed there before an early flight to Hong Kong.

Yes, compared to other hotels in Bangkok it%26#39;s overpriced, but as mentioned it%26#39;s a location thing as it%26#39;s the only hotel located at the airport.

We jumped on the shuttle bus from arrivals which we found quite easily by asking at the information counter. This is free.

We got a rate of approx 4000 baht on their website but it had a no cancellation policy so you need to make sure you will be staying there for sure.

We were delighted to find that they had a drink promotion running which made beers much cheaper - if not, they are expensive. We also opted for the international buffet (can%26#39;t remember the price) but we considered reasonable value for the quality and choice.

If you have been travelling around Thailand before arriving here, you will consider it very expensive but if you have no option, then it%26#39;s good for an airport hotel (I%26#39;m generally not a fan) with comfy beds, lovely baths and a good pool area.

I think it is worth to spend for transportation to stay in the city to experience more..

I still do not have confirmation that the tunnel from the terminal to the hotel is now operational. It seems like people are still taking the shuttle bus- which is fine as its better that making that long walk but I%26#39;ll keep posting until someone confirms one way or the other.

I stayed in this hotel on July 27th.

Upon arrival (2nd floor) at the airport, you would find a Novotel rep at gate 4 (exit door). Hotel shuttle comes every 15-20 mins. Takes 10 mins to go to the hotel. I payed B5000. B4000/room is also available with some restrictions.

I could not find any walkway (probably under construction).

Room was excellent.
