Last Minute Hotels

Arriving Saturday for a few days in Bangkok. First trip to Asia. Having trouble getting quick confirmation through booking agencies for mid-level hotels in Old City area. Getting worried as time is running out before departure.

How easy is it this time of year to get moderate accommodations for me and my wife if nothing%26#39;s confirmed before arrival?

Would Expedia or Travelocity be more immediate or more of a sure thing than Sawadee?

Last Minute Hotels

Expedia is likely to be your best bet at short notice, but not sure what is showing. Sawadee have a better range of local-style, inexpensive mid-range hotels though.

Thanks for your input. Sawadee just came through on one of my requests, so it looks like I%26#39;m set.

What does ';Old City'; area mean to you? When you return to Bangkok for your flight home my advice is to get a hotel nearer to the Skytrain so you can use that cheap transportation if you want.

There are several Sawasdee hotels - make sure you have a complete address for the meter taxi! If the Sawasdee hotel looks okay and is close to what you want to see then book your last night with them while you are still there.

Good luck.
