Hello! Does anyone knows some nice and cheap restaurants to recommend us to visit during our stay in Bangkok?

We prefer mostly Thai, Indian, Seafood and Chinese.

Thanks!

Hi Kiks,

My favorite Chinese restaurant is on 5th floor inside Emporium Department Store at Phrom Phong BTS. It鈥檚 the Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao. Their chicken stir-fried with cashew nuts is the one I love most. It costs 180-240 Baht per dish.

What I don鈥檛 like is I have to buy a ticket like in a food court.

street food is the best for thai food!

I agree that street foods are good Thai foods, but I often eat in the food courts in BigC.

With air con, free cold water, free rest room and the same prices with those on the streets on Sukhumvit Rd, you can%26#39;t beat it.

Also the food court in Central Chitlom (not Food Loft) has good prices.

Hello :

I like the MBK food court on the 4th floor I think. It serves

all Thai%26#39;s dishes at a reasonable price 80baht . There is also

a Sushi Japanese restaurant on the same floor.

Locals eat here and work in MBK. get off BTS national stadium.

We went to Harmonique twice which is on the lane leading from the Wat Muang Kae boat pier.

It was full of tourists but didn%26#39;t feel horribly touristy if that makes sense?

It%26#39;s a setting in a series of converted shops in the courtyards, decorated with antiques and nick nacks.

Food never cost us more than 15 euro for an awful lot of food. We had a platter once and was an excellent introduction to Thai food for first timers as we were then.

For a cheap and lovely Thai food, we tried Soi Polo - famous for their fried chicken. We had a whole chicken served with flakes of fried garlic on top, very yummy. We are a family of 4 and only cost us 280B for lunch. Off Wireless Rd - in a lane called Soi Polo Polo, most taxis know it. We ate in the open air part although they have a/c dining as well. Very basic but so lovely. I wish I knew what other thais were ordering as all the food looked great as well.

thank you everybody for your suggestions, for sure i will try to go to the places you recommend me. About the street food i am not so sure because i have heard that you might have stomach problems.

do try the street food, at least once. I guarantee u wont be disaapointed!

i agree youve got to try the street food. one simple rule---

join the longest queue of locals, they know if its good.
