Well,

I suppose it it like most cities where you can do just about anything you want but a hell of lot cheaper than in Aust and the US etc.

I really enjoy the golf as you might have guessed. It is hot and humid but the courses are excellent.

Get to know the locals and expats and you will have a great time.

yes, there is a ';naughty'; side howvever you will find nearly all places are very friendly and treat you with respect.

There%26#39;s nightclubs for tourists and locals and excellent hotels.

The food is excellent and cheap. Try a bit of everything.

Great sightseeing too.

most people find time for a beer or two as well.

First find a place close enough to popular tourist haunts so that you can walk to many things. I would avoid a hotel on Sukhumvit Road (Pattaya) because you will be far away from most things.

There are lots of travel agencies with a menu list of tours that you may be interested in. Prices are pretty reasonable, they pick you up at your hotel and return you there when the tour is finished.

Pattaya has a pretty good beach for sunning your self but most Europeans swim in nearby Jomtien. Many hotels do have swimming pools, even some of the cheaper places.

Pattaya has some very modern malls with lots of stores. There are lots of street vendors and small shops available too!

Transportation is cheap (10 baht) for foreigners when you use the baht buses. Hotels, restaurants, even current release movies are cheap.

What you do is up to you. Yes, there are lots of bars - but you can avoid them or ignore them. If you are male, female or traveling in a family group you can find something of interest in Pattaya!

pattaya has everything for everyone,

my only tip is to stay a little distance from the main areas incase it all becomes a little too much.
