Thailand beaches.

Hi,

I will be going to thailand with my boyfriend in november but we%26#39;re not quite sure where to go. If possible we would like to go to deserted beaches, or some which are not crowded. Any advice will be helpful.

Thailand beaches.

hi, just come back form thailand, we stayed on a little island called coral island (not sure of hte name in thai) not far from phuket, around 20 mins with speedboat, there is not much to it, one hotel (3*) and a lovely beach, and only a few metres to the coral, on a little trek to the other beach is some stunning snorkelling and coral, there are day trippers until early afternoon and when they go only the hotel guests are left and you ahve the whole place to yourself. one section of the beach is just for hotel guests so it is very peaceful. There are beachfront bungalows that are practically sitting on the beach, it%26#39;s very peaceful, lovely staff and cheap fabulous food, it is not a particularly flashy hotel, quite modest but adequate and lovely setting, with nice pool and I would recommend for a few days for peace and quiet and fabulous snorkelling, there is plenty to do in the day with parachute rides, speedboats etc, diving and very quiet at .

Hello,

If you;re looking for somewhere fairly laid back and off the beaten track I would defintely reccommend Koh Chang on the eastern gulf. Its still fairly untouched but easy to get to. Bangkok airlines fly daily to Trat. From there it is a 1 hour ferry ride. The hotels are all mainly down the west side of the island. I found the beaches in the north to be best. A good hotel is KC grand resort on white sand beach - suits all budgets.

Koh Pagnan is also good although it can get busy around the full moon party. If you stay out of Hat Rinn it has a totally different feel and the hotels are more spaced out. Bann Thai is a good beach to stay on although it is shallow and not that good for swimming.

You can also easily access Ko Tao from Koh Phagnan. I haven;t been but apparently its very peaceful. Its also supposed o be good for diving.

November is also a good time to go as the weather is quite good and the beaches arent; as busy as they are in December and January.

Hope this helps.

If you want very quiet try Koh Ngai far south.
