We are arriving in Bangkok via Thai Airways on the 9 August at 6.30am....from there we fly to Changi Mai via Airbus at 10am.
Unsure as to where we have to go to board plane for Changi Mai as it doesn%26#39;t tell us much on the ticket.
We have transfers but will we have to go outside to go to the domestic airport and be driven to the old airport?
We have heard that the airport is so large and are frightened of getting lost .
Please help us.
Bangkok to Changi Mai
You will arrive at the International Terminal and then you can walk to the domestic terminal as it is in all under the one roof. I take it you are flying to Chiang Mai Thai airlines.?If you are really worried about finding the terminals ask you travel agent to book some assistance for you. We had our elderly mother with us at xmas and was worried also but we were assisted the whole time and had no problems. There would be staff to greet you and help.
Bangkok to Changi Mai
You%26#39;ll need to check your tickets carefully. I don%26#39;t see any flight on any airline that departs from either airport at 10:00.
Thai Air flies from both airports in Bangkok to Chiang Mai. They have a 10:30 from Souvarnabhoumi on August 9 TG104, but nothing at 10:00. There isn%26#39;t a 10:00 from Don Muang either on Thai.
If you have transfers, are you changing airports? If so, I%26#39;d rebook your tickets to be on one of the flights right from Souvarnabhoumi...Thai Air 3 digit flight numbers from BKK are from Souvarnabhoumi, 4 digit flight numbers from DMK are from Don Muang. Air Asia and Bangkok Air also fly to Chiang Mai from Souvarnabhoumi.
If you are on Thai or Bangkok Air, you can check your luggage and yourself through to Chiang Mia, unless things have changed recently about that. If you are on another airline, you need to collect your luggage in BKK in check in for your flight to Chiang Mai.
The airports are pretty easy to navigate, so you shouldn%26#39;t get lost. Just be sure of which airport you actually have to go to and which airline.
