re-sale houses

Will be moving to thailand next spring and am looking at renting (30 year lease) land on which to build modest house.

Alternatively would like re-sale house, non estate with 6 - 8 rai land away from tourist destinations.

Anyone have good and honest contacts in thailand - people who may be able to help.

Thanks.

Hi Fly,

As I haven%26#39;t seen anyone replied to your topic, I think I%26#39;ll post something you might be interested.

I%26#39;ve read this http://www.allsuite.co.th/contactus.html but haven%26#39;t found what I%26#39;m looking for.

My friend got a job in Bangkok and chose her apartment 3 hours after she came to Bangkok. She contacted http://www.plus.co.th/main_en.php in advance.

I%26#39;ve never used them so I can%26#39;t comment.

This girl is very picky so I guess the Plus is doing a good job.

They might have some re-sale houses.

Whatever you do, don%26#39;t put any Land or property in a Thai girlfriends/wife%26#39;s name, just heard another bad luck story in my local here in Pattaya of a Brit who has just lost 30 Million Bht, which is about 430,000 pounds to a woman over thirty years younger than himself who he had known 8 months by putting all the condo%26#39;s and the car he brought in her name, even though a non Thai cannot own land or property(except some condo%26#39;s) you can set up a company registered here which can own it for you.

Hello :

I agree that buying properties in Thailand is a very risky

business.personally, I don%26#39;t know what kind of return will

be for this type adventure? i would risk if I can get 100% of

return investment in 3 years. If I ever put the Thai girl friend name

on that piece of deed I just consider that is a Gift to her and

don%26#39;t bother to get the property back .

Good luck ,

I think you鈥檙e a little negative.

When we know a few cases, we tend to think every Thai woman possibly carries the same blood.

If you talk to some Thai girls, they鈥檒l tell you stories about farangs.

However I agree with Expat2 and Trat鈥檚 comments.

Hello :

I agree that thare will be always two sides of coin.

Win some and Lose some.

Anyone in any country who signs over a house to someone thirty years their junior deserves to loose it!

Only Thai girls of a certain type, which you can get in most countries, would consider a boyfriend twenty or thirty years older.

I was brought up in Thailand and have travelled back and forward from Scot[and for 50 years, I have a wonderful Thai daughter-in law and many friends from GB who have Thai wives. No one I know except for a few travelling to Thailand to look for young Thai wives have had any trouble. The Thai people are a very reserved and conservative race who frown on westerners (farangs) coming to their country to look for girl friends or wives!!

My son took four years to convince my daughter-in-laws parents of his honourable intensions before they consented to her marrying a ';farang';.
