krabi and ko samui

We are going to Phuket again next Feb. Last time we was there we spent 4 great days in Bangkok, this time we are thinking of going to Krabi and Ko Samui . Can anyone tell me if we can get a boat from Phuket to Krabi and stay there a couple of days and then get another boat onto Ko Samui and stay there for a coulpe of days. and return the same way but without the stop overs.

thanks M

krabi and ko samui

hi,

Logistically, Krabi and Phuket are easily accessible to each other, no problems there.

You won%26#39;t however be able to get a boat from krabi to Samui unless you sail down the coast of Malaysia around singapore and back up! Koh Samui is on the other side of the coast to krabi. You can travel across land to Suranthani and then go by ferry to Samui (about 5/6hrs entire trip).

The best option is to fly from Phuket (no flights from Krabi to Samui at the moment) to Samui and take in Krabi before or after you go to samui.

Hope this helps, good luck!

krabi and ko samui

Thanks for that.

Do you know what airline goes from Phuket to Samui, as when we flew up to Bangkok we was sure we saw a flight going from Phuket to Samui but when we got home and checked it out we could not find one,( unless it goes via Bangkok !!! ) But if there is one that goes direct that would be great

thanks again

M

Hi,

Bangkok Airways fly this route, check here www.bangkokair.com.

Sonny.

Well how quick was that reply.!

Thank you .

I will check that out now.

Hello,

You can get a bus from Krabi to Surat Thani and then a ferry to Samui. I did it the other way round last year. It takes quite a while, about 8 hours but is really cheap (I think we paid about £10 for the whole trip). I think these trips can only be booked locally. I%26#39;m not sure about Krabi to Samui but Samui to Krabi is a night trip and the ferry only has beds and no seats!

Thanks for that.

That gives us something else to think about.

I did find the flights on Bangkokair.com that Sonchai told me about.

Thanks

M
