Cheapest way to book holiday

Hi, we have always used a travel agent to book our holidays as we considered this the safest option. However we have now decided we want to go to Phuket again next year and to do this we need to save every sent we can. So we would really appreciate any suggestions you may all have on booking the holiday ourselves and if it%26#39;s the cheapest way to go.

Hi Tracy,

I always use Trailfinders or dialaflight for the flights. Book the flights as early as possible before your travel dates. Airline co%26#39;s tend to put the prices up the closer you travel.

Hotel sites, there are loads:

Precision, Sawadee, Asia Rooms atsiam, agoda to name a few. If you find the hotels you decide to stay at and then type it in google most of the sites will come up that deal with that particular hotel.

Make sure you check what is included before booking, ie: Breakfast and taxes.

I always book directly with the hotel, it may cost a few quid more but I have peace of mind that they have my booking and specific room type.

Generally you are able to make good savings booking yourself and the choice is far greater.

Get a couple of quotes from travel agents in anycase so that you can compare.

If you do book through a booking website, always check with your hotel that they have the booking at least 10 weeks before departure.
