Marina Phuket with baby?

Anyone stayed at the Marina Phuket? The reviews sound wonderful, and so my partner and I are thinking of going there with our year old bub. Bub can%26#39;t sleep with lights and TV on, so we are wondering if there is anywhere in the Jungle Rooms at the Marina where we could put our portacot where bub won%26#39;t be disturbed if we are still up after she goes to bed. The website seems to show a dressing room - can anyone advise if this would be a suitable spot to pop bub in the portacot so she can sleep in quiet and darkness? Oh, we would also need a mini fridge to store her milk - is there one in the rooms? Many thanks.

Marina Phuket with baby?

Hi there,

We stayed at the Marina in April this year (just my husband and I). In our Jungle room there was not what I would call a dressing room but a large area where the many cupboards were. This was betwen the bedroom and bathroom.

There were many different light switches etc, and I see no problem why the area infront of the cupbaords could be blackened out and bub would not be disturbed (unless you were heading to the bathroom). The room is plenty big enough for a travel cot.

The rooms in general are large with plenty of area to move around.

I personally would take a baby there.

Hope this helps, hopefully you will get other thoughts.

Marina Phuket with baby?

Thanks so much for your advice Carinna. Does the dressing area have a door, or is it open to the main room?

The Marina does look gorgeous and I think we%26#39;ll follow your advice and try for a booking.

Kind regards

Tanya

Hi Tanya,

Yep, the dressing area is open to the main area.

I forgot to mention that thereis a fridge in the room aswell, which is filled, however you could remove some of the items.

Good luck!

We just returned from Marina. Previous comments are correct, and the dressing area is open plan beside the bathroom/toilet. Although there are numerous light fittings and switches I think if your baby is a light sleeper the room may not be ideal. Also depending on what villa you get, there could be the stair factor as well.

It is a beautiful resort that I would recommend, and I think the rooms are great, however it may not be the best for you at this time with a one year old. Others may disagree it%26#39;s just my opinion (I have three children myself). Good luck.
