cheap suitcases and memory cards?????????

Hi all,

Was just wondering if you could help me.

Are suitcases really cheap in phuket or am i better off just loaning an extra one off a friend?

Also are memory cards for cameras cheap over there or should i buy them here?

I don%26#39;t know much about camera memory card. Mine is SD Kingston. They sell in Thailand about 850 Baht for a 1GB card.

Check the suitcases in Tesco Lotus supermarket in Phuket. I didn%26#39;t buy but I saw some big ones enough to carry 30kg at about 700 Baht.

Check in Robinson Mall as well.

Hi there, cant give you the exact prices but all kinds of bags/suitcases are cheap. Thats what I do when I travel there, take a small bag with few most important things and during the trip end up spending all my money buying tons of stuff (msot of which I dont really need hehe) and then come back with a brand new suitcase filled up all the way ;-)

P.S: enjoy the trip, 26 days left to go for me...

IF you go to tesco they are very cheap 2g for $12 aud tesco is just out side of patong

if you email this guy we meet wee veerasak1959@hotmail.com we hired him for 600bt a day he gave me a phone that we could call him on there were no problems at all with him we also got cheaper d.v.ds than on the street and beter deals on tours and he picked us up lateer than the tour groups and took us there we did thing in our own time he was great and ok for single girls.

You can pick up cheap suitcases at Patong O Top markets at Patong beach just behind the Holiday Inn. We purchased a good sized one last year for around 650 Baht and the quality seems very good.

Memory cards are so cheap now so i would buy them Duty free at Melb airport before you leave.

I am not sure were you live but there is a fantastic Duty free shop in Springvale on Springvale road in the shopping centre on the Westall side of the road and they are very cheap. We brought a Video cam there in 2002.
